2. General

2.1. Pets will be transported in-cabin on charter flights organised by SKYE PETS under the terms set out in this Pet Policy.

2.2. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and government regulations at the departure, transit and arrival destinations, including providing valid documentation where required. Each country may impose specific import, export, transit, health and quarantine conditions, which must be fully met for your pet to be eligible to travel and enter the destination country at the time of your Flight.

2.3. Your Booking may include import guidance and assistance with certain import or export services, including the preparation or submission of permits, licences, veterinary documentation and other required documentation. The specific services included in your Booking will be set out in your Booking Confirmation, invoice or other written confirmation provided by SKYE PETS.

Although SKYE PETS may provide these services, you remain responsible for providing complete, accurate and up-to-date information and documentation within the timeframes requested. You must carefully review all applications, permits, certificates and other documentation provided to you and notify SKYE PETS immediately if you identify any error, omission or inconsistency. You are also responsible for following all instructions, completing required veterinary appointments, treatments and testing within the specified timeframes, and ensuring your pet continues to meet all applicable import, export, transit and health requirements.

SKYE PETS is not responsible for any error, delay, refusal, additional requirement or cost arising from inaccurate, incomplete or late information supplied by you; your failure to review documentation or follow the instructions and timeframes provided; changes to government requirements; decisions or delays by government authorities, veterinary practices, laboratories or other third parties; or circumstances outside SKYE PETS' reasonable control.

Failure to comply with the applicable requirements or the instructions and timeframes provided by SKYE PETS may result in your pet being refused travel, refused export or import, delayed, placed in quarantine, returned to the country of departure or otherwise dealt with by the relevant authorities. You will be responsible for any resulting losses, delays, expenses or additional costs.

3. Breed Restrictions

3.1. All breeds, including brachycephalic breeds, are permitted on our flights.

3.2. While there are no breed restrictions imposed by SKYE PETS, destination and transit countries may prohibit or restrict particular breeds. If your pet's breed is prohibited or restricted and your pet does not meet the applicable requirements, they will not be permitted to travel.

3.3. Refer to Appendix B for guidance on restricted or prohibited breeds. This guidance is provided for general information. You remain responsible for verifying the current requirements with the relevant authorities before travel.

4. Travel Requirements

4.1. Where required by applicable import or export regulations, airport authorities or operational requirements, pets must be transported in crates that comply with the IATA Live Animals Regulations. SKYE PETS will supply compliant travel crates where required for the Flight.

4.2. Dogs will be allocated crates for take-off, landing and whenever instructed by SKYE PETS, the Operator or the cabin crew.

4.3. When permitted out of their crates, dogs must remain leashed and within the floor space of their assigned seat unless using the designated pet toilet relief area.

4.4. Pets must not obstruct aisles, escape routes or emergency exits.

4.5. Cats must remain crated for the duration of all flights for their safety.

5. Pet Import Requirements and Inspections

5.1. Refer to Appendix A for general pet import guidance for your destination country.

5.2. Import, export, transit, quarantine, licensing, veterinary, animal-health, inspection and border-clearance requirements are determined by the relevant government authorities and may change without notice. The links in Appendix A are provided as general guidance only. You are responsible for reviewing the most current requirements applicable to your pet and journey.

5.3. Where pet inspection or clearance arrangements form part of your Booking, SKYE PETS will coordinate these arrangements at the departure, transit or arrival destination based on the operating hours, procedures and information available at the time. These arrangements may be affected by changes imposed by the relevant authorities or by a Flight delay, diversion or schedule change. This may result in delayed clearance, an out-of-hours inspection, temporary holding or overnight quarantine where required by the relevant authority. SKYE PETS will use reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative, but all inspection and clearance arrangements remain subject to the availability and approval of the relevant authorities.

6. Conduct On Board

6.1. Pets must be well-behaved, non-aggressive and must not disturb or pose a threat to airport personnel, crew, other passengers or pets.

6.2. Aggressive or disruptive behaviour may result in refusal of travel or onward travel, and additional charges for any damage or injury may apply. This includes:

  • Aggressive actions, such as growling, snapping, lunging or biting people and/or animals.
  • Damaging the aircraft cabin, furnishings or equipment.

6.3. Behaviour that compromises the safety or comfort of the aircraft may result in booking cancellation or in-flight diversion.

6.4. If the Flight is diverted due to a safety compromise caused by you or your pet, you are responsible for the associated costs.

6.5. You are responsible for all costs and liabilities caused by your pet and agree to indemnify SKYE PETS.
