2. From western France, compare an English south-coast ferry arrival before driving all the way to Calais.
3. For a foot-passenger plan, book pet acceptance and the English-port pickup together; arrival in Newhaven is not the same onward journey as arrival in Folkestone.

A local detail to resolve before departure

If travelling by rail to the shuttle, select Calais Fréthun rather than assuming Calais Ville is the meeting station. A Paris Eurostar ticket to London will not carry an ordinary pet. Leave time for the transfer between any Paris arrival station, airport and onward departure.
